The embattled Shadowhunters withdraw to Idris – but not even the famed demon towers of Alicante can keep Sebastian at bay. And with the Nephilim trapped in Idris, who will guard the world against demons?

My Review:

I am honestly devastated that this series has come to an end. I was completely invested in the growth of each and every character which has made reading the conclusion of the series all the more difficult.

Even though I am not happy that the series has come to an end, I believe that Clare ended it perfectly. There is just enough intrigue and hope left that there could be a spin off. That being said, I am sure that the world would love for Clare to continue with the world of the shadowhunters.

Just like previous entries in to this series, City of Heavenly Fire  is rich with imagery. Clare makes it impossible to not feel as if you are in the shadowhunter world. You feel the nasty sands of the demon world, you heart races while fighting Sebastian, and you feel the characters heart break when they lose a loved one.

For fear of exposing too many secrets of this wonderful novel I will be ending this non-review. All I can hope is that you give Clary, Jace, and Cassandra Clare a chance and please read this series.
