  1. Just a passing thought, but I actually have a lot of thanks to give for film adaptations popularizing book hero/ines into cosplay/costuming ideas. Without these films taking creative lead in developing character outfits–I wouldn’t have a lick of an idea of where to start! I swear I see more kids wanting to be Katniss than the prototypical witch nowadays (although, felines are still trump costumes for reasons beyond me…)

    1. I couldn’t agree more! I love the creative charge that mivies take when adapting books. There are only a few times that it wrecked how I saw the character, but ultimately did not change how I saw or felt about the book
